Augé was a secondary school teacher for 16 years and has designed unique experiential curriculum for her courses at FVCC and UM. Her doctoral research involved delving into the archaeology of myth, ritual, and religion. She has taken her expertise in this realm and translated it into an effective teaching methodology of reflection, critical analysis, and synthesis. Augé is presently writing two dictionaries of literary themes an archaeological field handbook of magic and ritual, as well as having an article published in the Society of Historical Archaeology Journal. She uses her experience and training in curriculum and teaching to help shape the way the next generation of anthropologists are taught; and to expand anthropology outside of academia to the community through public outreach events.
