Native Earth System Science Curriculum Project – A collection of lessons for K-4 students written and field tested by educators of American Indian students who teach on the Colville, Flathead and Nez perce Indian Reservations in the northwestern United States.

Culturally Competent K-12 Standards based Math and Science Lessons – A collection of lessons compiled by the Indigenous Math and Science Center for Grades K-12.

Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) –Environmental Health Science Education for Rural Youth - Environmental health is being used as an integrative context for science learning, with a focus on water and air quality issues in the rural West.  Special effort is being made to incorporate Native American perspectives and to develop educational materials and lesson plans that are cross-curricular in scope (math, science, language arts, health enhancement). Resources include lesson plans for teachers on water resources and educational trunks for grades 3-5 about air pollution in western Montana valleys.

Astronomy Education Review - This website focuses mainly at college level teaching, but it also has some good stuff for K-12.

Glacier National Park Curriculum Materials and Introduction to Units - The Workhouse curriculum is a high quality, culturally competent science curriculum developed by the park with local tribes. This material has good lessons on geology.

The Peoples Center (Salish, Kootnai, and Pend d’Oreille) - The People’s Center is the place to experience the rich cultural heritage of the Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Kootenai tribes. The traditions and culture of these tribes have been passed orally from generation to generation since time began. As our lifestyles change with time and technology, we continue to preserve and protect our heritage, history and culture. We invite you to explore the artifacts and exhibits, and to hear the stories of our people in their own voices. We also invite you to participate in our cultural activities, our celebrations, known as pow-wows, and other events reflecting the Tribes. The People’s Center perpetuates this rich heritage, through our tradition of oral history, and by creating opportunities of exchange between tribal elders, youth and the public. Through education, we hope to dispel myths and stereotyping of Native Americans and create better understanding between all peoples.

UM Science Opportunities for Kids (SOKS) – An after-school program to give underrepresented 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to engage in activities that expand their understanding of the sciences and health fields.

UM PACE Outreach Projects - Information about science careers for indigenous women.

UM Saturday Science Enrichment Program (SSEP)  - A program designed for underrepresented students in the 7th, 9th, and 11th grades who are interested in a health career or have an interest in science.  Students can attend two 6-hour workshops (for each grade level) at the UM campus. Students will receive a certificate, a stipend, experience in science projects, field trips, and exposure to role models in hearth careers.

Science Goes Spatial (GTEC) – A teacher training program that aimed to improve the teaching and learning of science in grades 5-12 using geotechnologies. This program modeled effective use of emerging geospatial technology, builds leadership teams within and across school districts, and shares the possibilities of geotechnology through the establishment of a statewide geotechnology competition.
