Postdoctoral Fellow Awarded American Heart Association Grant

Magnified 49, 200x, this transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image depicts numbers of cytomegalovirus virions that were present in an unknown tissue sample.

Eric Schultz, a postdoctoral fellow in the Ryckman Laboratory, was awarded a two-year American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship grant. The title of Schultz’s project is “Mechanisms of human cytomegalovirus gH/gL complexes in cell-free and cell-associated spread.” This is Dr. Schultz’s first grant through the Center for Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics.
