I am a physical chemist whose major research interests are historically in the area of nonlinear dynamics, especially in chemistry. I currently maintain a personal research program mostly involving the chemistry and dynamics of the oscillatory Belousov-Zhabotinsky Reaction and some work in nonlinear psychological models. I have in previous times been involved in atmospheric and climate modeling research and retain an interest in these areas.
My current major personal interests are my family, wife, two children and five grandchildren, all living in Missoula. I also do a lot of hiking in the Bitterroot Mountains of western Montana and other places, mainly in the Pacific Northwest
