Our Graduate Student won Outstanding Presentation Award at an International Conference

Wade Permar, a graduate student at the University of Montana, works with instruments onboard the plane during WE-CAN field campaign

Congrats to our graduate student Wade Permar for winning the 2020 Outstanding Student Presentation Award! Wade received this award at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting, one of the world's largest scientific conferences. Typically the top 2-5% of presenters in each Section at the conference are awarded an OSPA. Wade’s presentation title was "Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds from Western U.S. Wildfires Measured During WE-CAN.” Photos below were taken during the WE-CAN aircraft field campaign that sampled western US wildfire smoke in 2018. Awesome work, Wade!
