The Department offers undergraduate (B.S., B.A.) and graduate (M.S., M.A., Ph.D.) degrees in chemistry and biochemistry.   Because of our small size and supportive environment, students have excellent access to department faculty and staff.  Upper level and graduate courses are typically 5-20 students.  Our specific degree programs include:

Undergraduate Programs

  • Bachelor of Science American Chemical Society Certified Degree
  • Bachelor of Science Options in Forensic, Environmental or Pharmacological Chemistry
  • Bachelor of Arts 
  • Minor in Chemistry

Graduate Programs 

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry (including options in the areas of Environmental/Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry)
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry (through a joint program with the Division of Biological Sciences)
  • Master of Science
  • Master of Arts
