The Collaborative Language Planning Project (CLPP) aims to enhance communication among language activists, language teachers, students, and researchers from Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in the state of Montana. Through CLPP, the collaborative leading team invites representatives from the tribal colleges and universities (TCUs) in Montana as well as language activists, teachers and researchers from the independent community language programs.
The goals of CLPP include enriching language revitalization efforts among Indigenous communities, enhancing teachers and activists’ training experiences, and encouraging collaboration.
Meetings
The Collaborative Language Planning Project (CLPP) meets annually to bring together members of our community teaching Native Languages across the state. These meetings serve to encourage collaboration, identify best practices, and keep the spoken use of Native Languages vibrant.
Workshops
Our workshops invite participants to examine best practices in language pedagogy and draw community members, teachers, and institutions together to design and implement language instruction and preservation.
