CLPP Conference: Indigenous Science and Language (May 2023)

The Collaborative Language Planning Project (CLPP) will host a two-day conference on Indigenous Science and Language. It will be held on Thursday, May 18 and Friday, May 19, 2023, at the University of Montana – Missoula. Visit the conference website.

Convening (June 2022)

The convening served to broaden participation across the Montana tribal colleges in language science. Invited participants included researchers and teachers from Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU) in Montana, scholars and consultants at the University of Montana, the American Indian Language Development Institute (AILDI) scholars and consultants, and five students who attended CoLang 2022 which was held on the University of Montana campus. 2nd Meeting (May 2019)

The second CLPP meeting was held on May 23rd & 24th, 2019 on the University of Montana campus. TCU liaisons and more language activists were invited. The meeting included guest speaker talks as well as Indigenous linguistics students' presentations. Participants engaged their time in discussing ways to enhance language science and its application.
