Classroom/Conference Room

Utilizing the long distance video communication capabilities of the Classroom/Conference Space, students and faculty are able to track cultural events from indigenous communities from all over the world. The vast geographic range of the 12 Montana Tribes and 8 Reservations makes the need for this connective technology particularly critical for native students at UM, in addition to tribal leaders in remote locations. The mobility of the room’s tables and chairs allow for maximum floorplan flexibility, while garden level windows provide the vibrant natural lighting needed in a successful learning environment.  The space is also ideal for conferences and professional meetings, and has already facilitated a meeting of the tribal colleges and a College of Humanities and Sciences Advisory Board meeting in 2014.
