Title: Capacity Building for Language Documentation in Pakistan and India
In this presentation we share the way language documentation is conducted (methods) and the results of that documentation (description, revitalization, activism) in Pakistan and India. Together, these two countries are home to hundreds of under-documented and at-risk languages. We provide an overview of linguistic diversity and vitality in the region along with reflections on our own engagement with revitalization activities.
