The Genomics Core Facility at the University of Montana is a multi-user and service core laboratory providing genetic and genomic resources to researchers at universities, institutions, and government laboratories on the state and national levels. The newly expanded core includes technical support in molecular biology applications, Sanger DNA sequencing, Illumina library preparation, Illumina Sequencing on the MiSeq™.
The lab, located in the Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB) room 007, is equipped with an Illumina MiSeq™ and an ABI 3130, 16 capillary Genetic Analyzer. Shared equipment includes Covaris E220, 96 well Focused-ultrasonicator, epMotion 5075TMX liquid handler, Agilent TapeStation, and BioteK Synergy HT multi-mode plate reader with take five 16 sample low volume spectrophotometer plate.
