Lowe Lab

Hi! I work on population ecology and evolution. I am especially excitied about dispersal – who disperses, how far they go, and how this influences demography and local adaptation. A lot of our work focuses on stream salamanders, so we also think about complex life cycles and species interactions in headwater ecosystems.

I am also very interested in BUTTER! Please note the external gills on the salamander larva - carnation petals!

Thanks to Brett Addis, former PhD student, for these amazing pieces of art inspired by study species, close encounters, and lab outings to see horror movies.
