Research Interests

I study avian evolution, biogeography, morphology, and functional ecology. I use macroecological and phylogenetic comparative methods in combination with detailed field studies to test questions about biogeography and functional ecology. Much of my research involves museum collections and databases, to which I contribute through specimen collection and preparation.
