Bob comes to the Division of Biological Sciences from Human Resource Services, where he was an accounting associate. Among other duties there, he closed payroll liabilities, calculated taxable fringe benefits, and wrote special checks for all payrolls; processed foreign-national paperwork and I-9s; and verified unemployment claims.
Before that, he was with several colleges and universities, including Holy Cross College, Bristol Community College, and Western University of Health Sciences, working primarily in three areas: ad hoc financial analysis, institutional research, and enrollment management.
He also spent eight years as a quantitative analyst in commercial and investment banking, generating regression analyses, modeling buy-lease/capital-budgeting decisions, and developing private-company valuations.
He holds an M.A. in American History from Brown University, an M.B.A. in Finance from Cornell University, and an Ed.M. in College and University Administration from Harvard University.
In DBS, Bob will work with grants, payroll, GrizMart, Procard, and UApprove.
