Personal Summary

Dr. Erb is a faculty affiliate of both the Economics Department and the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Montana.  From 1995 to 1999 Dr. Erb conducted research and ran his own strategic advisory service based in Paris, France. Previously much of his career was devoted to public service, as the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund from 1984 to 1994. He also served in economic positions at the U.S. Treasury Department, the White House, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He held research positions as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow and as a Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Dr. Erb also taught at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
