I grew up in the thrilling town of Boring, Oregon (it's a real place)! It was there that I developed a love for all things outdoors. As an undergraduate I attended Oregon State University, studying chemical engineering. There I discovered fluvial geomorphology and river restoration, and decided to pursue further education in that field. I am an avid kayaker, and if I'm not working you can probably find me at Brennan's Wave or floating down the Alberton Gorge.
