Noah Clayton selected as Geosciences Outstanding Senior
The Department of Geosciences has selected Noah Clayton for the 2019 President’s Outstanding Senior Award, an honor conferred each year to exemplary graduating seniors across campus for their academic accomplishments. Noah was born in rural North Carolina and will be a first-generation college graduate. He is a non-traditional student and currently resides with his wife and two children in Whitefish, MT. His passion for water, adventure, travel, and the environment was initiated during his teenage years through whitewater kayaking. He became a professional adventure and lifestyle photographer, allowing him to interact with many cultures and landscapes around the globe. Ultimately, these combined experiences created the framework for his environmental concerns and led him to study Geoscience in pursuit of a better understanding of the systems and processes that govern life on our planet. His goals are to employ this knowledge to contribute towards conservation and sustainability.
