Supporting UM History

The History Department greatly appreciates the support it receives from alumni, students, parents, and friends of the department. Please be aware of the three special fundraising initiatives below. Friends of UM History Opportunity Fund

This special, unrestricted fund will help the department support some of its most critical ongoing needs, including: support for student and faculty research; funding for student and faculty travel and participation in academic conferences; honoraria for renowned visiting scholars and lecturers; resources to attract and retain talented students; upgrading our seminar room and facilities. Hampton Public History Fund 

Named to honor former history professor H. Duane Hampton (a.k.a. "Hamp") and his commitment to public outreach, the Hampton Fund supports the H. Duane Hampton Public History Program. If you are interested in honoring Hamp and supporting our public history program, please note "Hampton Fund" in the memo line of your check or in the "additional information" section below.

Harry Fritz Fund for Student Achievement  

To honor Professor Fritz, we have established a special fund that reflects Harry's particular commitments to students, student research, and community building.
