Heidi Jones Eggert has experience teaching, choreographing and performing in private studios, professional venues, public schools, community colleges and state universities with students ranging in age from three to 83. Prior to joining the faculty at The University of Montana, Heidi was a tenured Associate Professor of Dance at the College of San Mateo (California) as well as their Artistic Director and Dance Coordinator. Her performances have taken her to many parts of the country, most extensively San Francisco with MotionLab, Lizz Roman & Dancers, kelly kemp & company, raw footage, and Taproot Dance Project to name a few.
While Heidi’s passion lies in teaching, creating and performing modern dance, she has always enjoyed dance in any form, from contact improvisation to classical ballet, multicultural dance, musical theatre and more. She is enthusiastic about making dance accessible to everyone; honing in on creativity as well as technique; encouraging a most expressive artist and a mindful audience.
