Associate Professor Aaron Thomas, right, director of Indigenous Research and STEM education, represented UM at the National Science Foundation’s Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program Dissemination Conference Jan. 17-20 in Anchorage. He has worked with ANSEP for many years, and it was his relationship that helped garner UM a place among only nine universities invited to the conference.
