African-American Studies Celebrates 50 Years at UM

UM’s African-American Studies program and the Black Student Union are celebrating their 50-year anniversary with a week of activities through Sunday, Feb. 18.  Highlights include a seminar by Darlene Clark Hine titled “The Rights of Citizens: Black Professionals in Medicine and Law, 1895-1954” and a talk by Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King .
