UM Bio Station Researchers Awarded NASA Grant

Gordon Luikart works with fellow researchers to sample native and invasive fish in migrant traps

Stopping invasive species from destroying ecosystems and regional economies is one of the world’s greatest challenges. A newly acquired NASA grant will support an investigative team of researchers at the Flathead Lake Biological Station as they launch a new project enabling officials to predict the spread of aquatic invasive species through remote sensing, genetic monitoring and climate forecasting.
