In the spring semester of 2018, Gary Warchola will travel to Berlin, Germany to student teach at the Berlin Cosmopolitan School, an international IB school.  This will be Gary’s final semester before receiving his M.Ed. for teaching German, theatre, and English as a second language from the University of Montana. In 2013, Gary moved to Austria to work in local schools as an English language teaching assistant through the Austrian American Educational Commission.  During these two years, one in Kitzbühel and one in Innsbruck, Gary found his passion in language and theatre education.  UM has provided him a place to gain the skills he needs to work as a teacher.  Studying German at UM has helped him further develop his knowledge of literature, history, and language in an intimate classroom setting with professors who are passionate about their fields.  He has come to see how a foreign language can open new career opportunities and lead to meaningful personal life experiences.
