The 63nd Annual Montana Science Fair will be held March 19th and 20th (Awards Ceremony), with early check-in on Sunday, March 18th. The Montana Science Fair has been a major event at the University of Montana, Missoula, since 1956. Presently, the Fair is sponsored by the University of Montana College of Arts & Sciences, the University of Montana President's Office, and the Missoula Exchange Club. It is funded by the UM Excellence Fund, campus departments, outside contributions, and the proceeds from the Fair.
The Montana Science Fair is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). The grand award winners from the Montana Science Fair and Montana's regional fairs go on to compete at Intel ISEF in a different U.S. city each year. ISEF is administered by Society for Science & the Public (SSP).
Last year, nearly 600 students from across Montana showcased their mastery of the scientific method, and three exceptional students were chosen to represent Montana in the International Science and Engineering Fair, held in Los Angeles, CA.
Students and teachers can find all necessary paperwork, deadlines, restrictions, ISEF guidelines, and a schedule of events on our website under the Fair Information and Registration tabs. Any questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
