Participating Academic Centers

From its inception the Neuroscience Graduate Program at The University of Montana was designed as a multidisciplinary, multi-departmental endeavor. Thus, the program draws upon faculty from a broad range of academic units on campus (e.g., Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology), as well as from a number of affiliated centers that have active research efforts in the neurosciences.

The Centers

The program also shares curricular and training resources with the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Montana State University (Bozeman, MT). A new collaborative training program between the University of Montana and the National Institutes of Health also allows students to carry out their research at the NIH Rocky Mountain Laboratories (Hamilton, MT).

This wide array of research faculty and laboratories provides students with exceptional opportunities to pursue novel lines of training and research specifically tailored to their interests.
