Public Shows

Fall 2018 Public Shows

Shows are on Friday evenings from 6 - 7 pm or 7:30 -8:30 pm.  Tickets are $6 (adults) and $4 (children 12 and under).  During each public program we will take you on a tour of the current night skies of Missoula, pointing out noteworthy objects, constellations, planets, or upcoming events visible in the night sky.  The show will then shift to an engaging topic chosen by that evening's presenter.  Topics could range from a focus on unique night sky phenomena, our solar system and its exploration, extrasolar planets found within the Milky Way, stellar groupings in our galaxy, or large scale patterns of the universe as a whole.  See below for a full list of the scheduled programs.  Note:  Shows often sell out in advance.  If interested in a particular show, please purchase your tickets using the links found beneath each show date, tickets are not sold at the door.

Age Recommendations

We do not have any firm guidelines with respect to children.  If a child can remain quiet and attentive for the 50 minutes, then it is fine for that child to attend.  We find that children age 7 and older enjoy the show best, as the subject matter is at a more advanced level.  Parents are responsible for their child and may be asked to leave if the child is disruptive.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.
