Political Science Minor Requirements

To earn a minor in political science the student must complete a minimum of 21 credits of political science, including 210, 220, 230, 250; and three additional 300-400-level courses in three of the five major fields of political science (American Government, Comparative Government, International Relations, Political Theory, and Public Administration). Nine of the 21 credits must be in 300-400-level courses.

Required Introductory Courses (12 Hours of Credit)

  • PSCI 210: Introduction to American Government
  • PSCI 220: Introduction to Comparative Government
  • PSCI 230: Introduction to International Relations
  • PSCI 250: Introduction to Political Theory

One upper division course in three of the following five fields: (9 Hours of Credit)

  • American Government
  • Comparative Government
  • International Relations
  • Political Theory
  • Public Administration
