Dr. Crystal Sanders, associate professor of history and African American Studies at Penn State University, will place Martin Luther King, Jr., in the context of his time. Although often described as a supporter of the status quo, Dr. King faced resistance and was considered controversial during his lifetime. Dr. Sanders will explain why.
