ECOR Facilities and Equipment
The ECOR Labs provide state-of-the-art growth chambers, equipment, and support necessary to conduct mechanistic experiments investigating plant, invertebrate, and microbe responses to controlled environmental variables. These are located in two primary areas of the University of Montana:
The ECOR Plant Lab is located at Diettert Gardens at the UM South Campus. This facility includes eight Percival Scientific Growth Chambers with capabilities including controlled daylength, humidity, temperature, and CO2 concentration (as well as water and nutrient regimes). The head house provides ample wet and dry work space, with lab benches, basic equipment, and storage. For chamber details and specifications, click on the links in the side menu.
The ECOR Insect Lab is located Health Sciences Building Room 205. This facility includes eight Percival Scientific Growth Chambers with varying capabilities such as light, humidity, and temperature. The adjacent lab work space provides lab benches and basic equipment for sample processing. For chamber details and specification, click the links on the side menu.
In addition to the primary ECOR Plant and Insect Laboratories, we can supply Other ECOR Equipment and services , such as data loggers, soil sensors, and set-up assistance. Please contact the ECOR Manager to arrange use of ECOR equipment and supplies.
