Students form new University of Montana Neuroscience Club

come talk about brains with the neuroscience club joins us mondays 6pm skaggs 111 all majors welcome

This semester a group of neuroscience majors created a new ASUM-approved student Neuroscience Club. The purpose of the club is to build a community of like-minded students interested in brain science. The members are encouraging other student to join and participate in activities such as Documentary Days, Neuro in the News discussions, job shadowing with local professionals, graduate student mentoring, off campus social gatherings and more. Recently club organizers Kinsey Webb and Danette Seiler worked with material provided by faculty in the neuroscience program to assemble a library display in honor of March as Brain Awareness month. The display was well attended by UM students, faculty and administrators and helped highlight the importance of brain safety, current neuroscience research on campus, and the rapidly growing neuroscience major.

Students from all majors are welcome to join the Neuroscience Club. Meeting information for Fall 2019 will be determined during the first week of the new semester. Contact Kinsey Webb at for more information and updates.
