GRAY Lab Bio

Hello! My name is Emily Hattouni and I am a fourth-year student in the School Psychology PhD program. My research interests include mindfulness-based practices, early interventions, and preventative mental health. Currently, I am working on my dissertation investigating the prevalence of mindfulness-based interventions used by school psychologists. This research aims at promoting useful strategies to combat burnout among school professionals. I have been involved in many activities in the GRAY lab, including presenting at conferences, contributing to book chapters, and providing moral support for my wonderful colleagues. In my spare time, I like to get outside and hike or hang up my hammock and just relax. I also love music and dancing! Missoula has a great music and arts scene, with many local and nonlocal artists on tour. So far, my favorite thing about the GRAY lab is the supportive group of individuals who share common interests in helping students, families, and schools. Collaboration is a true strength of our lab; there are always opportunities to help with a variety of different projects.
