Although the UMZM is primarily a research museum, there are a many opportunities to see specimens from the collection on display around on the University campus and off-campus across Missoula and state of Montana.
The UMZM Multi-Use Classroom (HS 212) features a full wall of display cases featuring mounts and specimens representing Montana's biodiversity and the interesting and unique specimens in our collections. These displays are viewable by classes, tours, and other groups using the Classroom.
The UMZM has one display case each on the first and second floors of the Health Sciences building. These displays are readily viewable by all students and visitors to this building.
The UMZM has displays in two large and four small cases on the 5th floor of the Mansfield Library. Some of our primate skulls are featured there.
