Welcome to the French program at the University of Montana. Our dynamic community of scholars and teachers is committed to excellence of instruction. We provide a thorough coverage of French and francophone studies, from literature and culture, to philosophy and history, to popular culture, films, and politics. The program encompasses the various research interests of its faculty; we encourage independent and innovative thinking. The French program offers an undergraduate major and minor, as well as an undergraduate teaching certificate program in conjunction with the School of Education.
