We have laboratory facilities for comprehensive water quality testing including major, minor and trace elemental chemistry. Aqueous geochemistry facilities available through the Environmental Biogeochemistry Laboratory. Lab facilities include general equipment to facilitate field sampling and chemical and physical analysis of environmental samples. Examples include scales, a portable spectrometer (Hach DR/2000) and test kits, pH, DO, EC meters and titrators, a ball mill with zirconia vials, centrifuges, drying ovens, a muffle furnace etc.

Coming soon! We are in the process of fabricating and testing analytical systems for the analysis of dissolved CFC’s, SF6 and light noble gases. These analyses are used for age dating groundwater, excess air and recharge temperature determination.
