Soazig Le Bihan is Professor of Philosophy, Director of the UM Pre-Law Program, and Co-Director of Graduate Studies for the UM Philosophy Master Program. Alumna of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, she holds doctorates in philosophy from the University of Nancy in France and Bielefeld University in Germany. Her research focuses on the philosophy of science and spans multiple scientific domains, from quantum correlations to ecological modeling. She is currently working on a book about scientific understanding and on some projects on values in science, especially conservation science. She teaches a wide variety of courses, from Modern Philosophy to Animal Ethics and Philosophy of Law. She started building the Pre-Law Program in 2013 and has been running it since, finding it to be one of the most rewarding projects she has ever undertaken. Her spare time is divided between runs on the mountains with her dog, CrossFit workouts, hikes with friends, all kinds of fun with her two children, and volunteering for Animal Wonders.

Jeff Stephenson is the Associate Director of the UM Pre-Law Program, and an instructor in the UM Department of Philosophy and the Davidson Honors College. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from the City University of New York. He is a generalist, teaching a broad spectrum of philosophy and humanities courses, while also working periodically over the last two decades as a regulatory consultant for human subjects research and privacy law issues for the Department of Defense. He divides his free time amongst hiking and mountain biking in western Montana with his hospitalist wife and two dogs; blacksmithing and welding in his shop; and taking care of a small herd of rescue animals including a sheep, nine goats and two chickens on their small ranch.
