Structure/Administration

The CRSSR is housed in the Department of Geosciences and is administered by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Development. The CRSSR Director is a Geosciences faculty member and is responsible for day-to-day operation, fund raising, the development and promotion of CRSSR and its goals.

A Science Advisory Committee composed of nationally and internationally recognized scientists and researchers will be formed. In consultation with the Vice President of Research, the Director and active associated faculty, the Committee will assist in focusing CRSSR activities on key regional, national and international riverine science issues. An Ad-hoc guidance committee composed of active CRSSR scientists, affiliates and others will be convened by the Director as needed to examine approaches to fund raising and to examine how the CRSSR can assist researchers.
