He built an education pavilion to host summer camps, field trips, and other public programs at the market garden. He started an on-farm composting operation of food scraps from the Inn to reduce the off-farm waste stream and help meet garden fertility needs. He helped start a farm share program to distribute garden produce, eggs, and cheese to staff and has played an integral role in maple syrup expansion, designing and building a new sugarhouse at the market garden. Aside from growing three acres of certified organic mixed vegetables, herbs, flowers, and berries, and cultivating shiitake mushrooms, he also added a laying flock and egg production to the market garden.
